Who we are ?

CHAPUIS-COMOY & Cie is a creator, manufacturer, and distributor of fine pipes located in Saint-Claude, France, the world’s capital of briar pipes.

Since the 19th century, pipe-making has been a symbol of the region, and as the last remaining pipe factory in France, we proudly carry forward a two-century-old savoir-faire. Combining tradition with innovation, we modernize the image of the pipe while respecting its rich heritage.

Our pipes are distributed in over 35 countries, and every day, 20 dedicated employees uphold this craftsmanship with a modern touch.

Since 2013, our workshops have been recognized as an Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company), a prestigious state distinction acknowledging our exceptional know-how.

Antoine GRENARD, Managing Director, is the 6th generation to lead this family-owned company.
