Chapuis Comoy & Cie presents the Chacom D-Day, a pipe that pays tribute to the soldiers of Operation Neptune who landed on the French coast on June 6, 1944.
cRAFTED in only 80 copies, the Chacom D-Day is a straight pipe with a glossy brown finish, a black acrylic stem, and mounted in an aluminum "Army mount".
Its "stand" shape, thanks to its flat bottom, allows it to be placed down without any additional accessory.
The pipes are numbered from 1 to 80 and laser-engraved with a specially created inscription for D-Day.
This briar pipe is made in limited numbers in our workshops in Villard-Saint-Sauveur, near Saint-Claude, and will be delivered with its leatherette pouch and a laser-engraved briar plaque for D-Day .
The Army mount is a fitting with an aluminum ferrule and an acrylic stem.
This Army mount was designed during World War I by a soldier who repaired his pipe’s shank with a rifle cartridge casing.
Chacom, a renowned French brand, is owned by the company Chapuis-Comoy & Cie.
For several generations, Chacom has been supporting briar pipe enthusiasts around the world.
Each year, the Chacom range is enriched with a touch of modernity and originality, while preserving its authenticity. As a creator, manufacturer, and distributor of briarwood pipes and smoking accessories, Chacom is based in Saint-Claude (Jura), the world capital of pipes.
